Passionate about creation in all its forms, Gaëlle CHEVALIER embodies the rare union of craftsmanship and contemporary artistic sensibility. After a career in arts and crafts and made-to-measure couture, she founded Macram&Couture, a French brand of exceptional dresses that blend high-end with handmade macramé.
Each piece by Gaëlle CHEVALIER is an ode to femininity and freedom: fluid, sensual and resolutely modern. Working alone in her studio, she imagines and creates wedding gowns and ceremonial wear combining textile refinement and modern subtlety.
Her inspiration
Gaëlle CHEVALIER draws her inspiration primarily from ethnic styles and boho chic looks, but also from iconic figures from the world of fashion, such as the designer and ingenious technician of the 1940s who mastered the art of draping to perfection, Alix Grès.
